I have a job!

I got here on Monday the 22nd and that Friday I had an interview with this brand new golf course.  I met with one lady that afternoon at 1 and we only talked for 15 minutes.  I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.  At the end of our interview she said she wanted me to meet with a different lady later on that afternoon.  I met with her at 4 and it was again only like 15 minutes.  That was fine with me, but I still didn't know what to think.  The next day I got a call from a random number and when I checked the message it was the golf course offering me the job!  I started training the next day (talk about short notice!) and the course opened up yesterday.  I am one of the two ladies locker room attendants.  Haha!  Basically, I take care of the female members while they are in the ladies lounge or locker room.  When they come to play golf or visit the spa, I coordinate that with the spa/pro shop.  If they want to eat or drink, then I take their order and serve their food.  What's great is from my desk I look out over the 18th hole with a gorgeous mountain range behind it!  Oh...and I get a radio so I can let everyone know when people are coming off the course.  On top of all this, I get to shine shoes...oh yeah!  If I can stay busy I think I won't mind this job, but if I get bored it's not going to be so fun.  We will see!  The name of the course is Shooting Star and it was designed by Tom Fazio.  It is a really really nice place and the clubhouse is awesome too...it has every amenity you could think of!  The kitchen opens up tomorrow and the spa opens up at the end of the month.  It is kinda neat to be able to be involved from the get go, but it has definitely been crazy!  I have been folding towels, putting membership packets together, delivering those packets, setting up furniture, moving furniture and many other random things!  Guess what else??  They serve us food there!  Yea!  That's great news.  That means that for at least one meal a day I won't have to eat PB&J!  I am being really really nice to the chef because I figured that was a good person to be friends with!  I think I know every person that works in the kitchen by name already!  Of course, it is easy to pick them out with their chef outfits on, but still...I know their names!  Oh...and once we get our uniforms I won't have to pick out work clothes every day.  I can just wear whatever to work and then I change into my uniform.  At the end of the day, I leave my uniform with the laundry department and it reappears the next day cleaned and ironed for me!  I'm sure I am going to have all kinds of interesting stories from this job, but I guess that's all for now!  I did put up some pictures though.  I took the ones with the hot air balloons on the way to my first day of work.  I was just driving down the road and there were all of these hot air balloons taking off.  I liked it so I took a picture!  The others are the awesome views of the golf course that I get to enjoy all day every day!  These were both taken out of the window I sit by.  The first one is the 18th hole.  The other one is the 10th.  It is funny to stand up there and watch everyone lose their ball in the lake and get all irritated!
