The past week or so...

So, I obviously am not posting on here that much.  Woops!  I will post more often in the future.  Hopefully.  Anyways, the past week and a half have been really fun.  The week after I got here I got a stupid sinus infection so that was frustrating.  I slept a lot that week and didn't do too terribly much.  Fourth of July weekend was really fun though.  That Friday night I played kickball and then went out with the kickball people for a while before heading up to a party.  This guy's birthday is July 3, so every year he has a big party for his birthday.  There were tons of people there and a DJ and everything.  It was fun.  The next morning I had to work, but I got off at 3 so that was good.  I changed and got ready and then headed off to a cookout/pool party with my roommates.  I definitely did NOT get in the water (brr!!) but a lot of crazy people did.  We left from that cookout and went to another one.  The second cookout was where we stayed and watched the fireworks.  They had a lot of yummy food and I had met some of the people that were there before so it was good to see some familiar faces!  After the fireworks were over, we left and went back to the first cookout to see what was going on over there.  It was fun, but it was getting late and it was kinda cold outside so we went to get pizza and then we headed home.  The next day was pretty low key, but that night there was a party at a house near me that some people had rented for the week.  A girl that I met out here invited me to go so I went and met up with her.  It was a beautiful house and a fun party.  I didn't stay out too terribly late that night.  The next night I played in a soccer game and then went to this girl April's house for dinner with my roommate Charlotte.  We had a yummy dinner and then we watched a movie.  I had to work late the next two days, but that Thursday I got off early.  I wound up going back to April's that night to hang out with her and another girl.  After April's, I met up with one of my roommates at a bar near us for disco night.  It was a good time.  This past weekend was a lot of fun too!  We had a big function at work on Friday and I wound up helping out in the dining room.  I really enjoyed being in the dining room.  It was way more exciting than the locker room!  We worked until 11 and then I went out with two girls from work to hear a band play for a little bit.  The next day (Saturday) I had to work again, but I went out after.  I went to dinner at this great Thai place and then out from there.  Last night, there was a cookout for this guy's birthday and I had a lot of fun at that.  I didn't have to work today, so I drove to Idaho to see what that was all about!  It is only like 30 minutes from me.  There is a place there that has huckleberry milkshakes that everyone talks about so I decided to try them out.  It was delicious!!  It took everything I had not to just order the chocolate, but I am glad that I tried the huckleberry!  On the way back, I stopped at one of the trails along the way and hiked on it for a bit and then sat on a log for a while and enjoyed the awesome weather.  It was just great!  I took these two pictures from the trail today.  It was just gorgeous!
