Teton County Fair

This past week was the 2009 Teton County Fair. It was SO much fun! I didn't go to everything, but I will make up for it next year. I don't want to miss any of the events! The first thing I went to was the pig wrestling on Wednesday night. It was absolutely hilarious! You have teams of four and they put you in a small ring of mud with a bucket in the middle. They put a muddy pig in the ring with you and you have to try and catch it and get it in the bucket. It was so funny! They give awards for the best costumes too so it was fun looking at all of the costumes and team names. There were some really funny ones! I am definitely going to participate next year. It just looked like too much fun not to! Friday night was the annual concert and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band played this year. It was so fun! They were awesome and I danced the whole time! Sunday night I went again and it was the Figure 8 finals and the Demolition Derby. I honestly thought that Figure 8's were on horses, but I was SO wrong! You have all of these little cars and they race around the track and the first one to make it a certain amount of laps (I think it was 10) wins! It was fun to watch, but I think I enjoyed the Demolition Derby more. It was awesome! They put 6 or so cars in the ring and they just run into each other until there are only three left. Then the top three from each group went to the finals. It was so much fun to watch! It was like bumper cars except it was real cars out there! There were car parts flying around everywhere, smoke, fires...the whole 9 yards! After the finals of the Demo Derby, we went over to the carnival. There were also all of the carnival rides set up with games and food stands. We had fun walking around the carnival. We won a goldfish and went into the fun house too! It was great!
